What a week.  Last Monday it started out being a beautiful sunny day in California.

Then the tragedy in Boston and later that afternoon in California it looked like this

These are rain clouds.  I pray that Boston's citizens and visitors are healed quickly.

This pattern is by Kim's Big Adventures, I made it in 2010 -

I think I'll make another version of this one this year.

Frying chicken, churning pasta for pesto ravioli, some sweet tea, and a green salad with orange slices and feta, how is that for fusion cuisine.

Finished but I don't like the flavor of the pesto in the ravioli, it's too strong.  Back to the drawing board.

I am excited to begin a new project today.  This is the first block.  I'm just going to keep going until I run out of fabric.  Don't know if it's going to be a wall hanging, lap quilt, full size quilt, queen size quilt, or king size.  I might do something a little different with the borders.  Fun, fun, fun.  Now it's an X if I turn it another way it will be a cross, who knows what I'll end up with.

Visit your local Farmers' Market to get fresh, in season, quality fruits and vegetables.  Here's what I mean:

There may be a bruise or two, but if you know what to do with that fruit or vegetable that is slightly imperfect it won't matter.

Welcome April -

Can you believe we're 4 months into 2013. I am so distracted lately, I guess this is what you call spring fever.  I find myself daydreaming all the time.  Get focused.  I better get started on the quilt for the 4th of July, got something interesting in mind.

Here are two quilts I made last year - I will finish the Christmas quilt before Christmas this year, I still need to batt and bind.
